Easter Picnic 2016

When you go on a picnic with the Lindsay's you shoot guns.  BIG guns.  This is Allen's big 50 cal gun that packs a punch.  Dakoda and Dean had shot it before but this was Devin's first time.  I think it's safe to say it kicks pretty hard. lol  Personally I think I'll stick with my .38 special pink lady.  It kicks plenty hard for this girl.

Never too old to color eggs.

We boiled a few in onion skins and in purple cabbage.  The ones we let soak overnight were awesome!
Following clues left by the Easter Bunny is always fun.
More clues
And they finally found their baskets!

Easter is not complete without a picnic and gunshooting.

A picture and moment to cherish

Once in a while I think to take a picture.  To capture a moment. To engrave it forever in my mind.  This was one of those times. We had been visiting and helping my mom out with a few projects that needed done at her house.  As we were leaving the hugs started. I always hug my mom goodbye.  I never miss that opportunity because I swear there aren't enough hugs around.  When Devin got his hug I was amazed at the height difference.  Lol She is small but she is fierce.  You don't tell her you're too big or tough for a hug. You're getting one.  Thank goodness.  Every teenage boy needs a hug from his 5' grandma.

Yep another one

I can't say enough about this boy's report card. Not just his report card but him in general.  He makes being a mother so fun and so easy.  All of my boys make me look like a great mom.  In all reality they are just good boys.  Never do they put on a fake front in order to impress people.  They are that way through and through.  Love them to pieces.

Love this boy's report card

My mom tells me all the time what great boys I have.  I know. Right?!?!  They make being a mom a breeze.  They do well in school, they stay out of trouble and they are cuter than cute.  Not to mention they are fun to hang out with. I often feel sorry for other moms when their kids give them crap because honestly, I have not had to deal with that.  My BOYS ROCK!!!

Caesar and the laser

Spud (our favorite dog ever) played with this laser like crazy.  We didn't get it out for a long time with Caesar just because it was Spuds I guess.  But here lately it has made it's way out of the drawer and Caesar has went crazy. He won't stop chasing it.  He will be so tired he can't breathe but he still won't stop.  If you put the laser down he whines and barks and tries to take it.  It is so dang funny.

New Addition

I'm pretty sure this is one of the most spoiled dogs around.  Spoiled but such a smarty.  Two days ago we decided to start the training for ringing a bell when he needs to go outside.  I watched a few youtube videos on training them for this and thought we should give it a try.  We hung our bells on the front and back doors and started ringing them each time we took her our.  Day two (seriously the second day)  I was in the bedroom and I here the bell ring and then a couple of tiny barks.  I'm thinking NO WAY.  I walk in and there he sits at the front door wanting out.  Totally blew my mind.  The rest of the day I was thinking did that really happen.  We were outside most of the afternoon so he didn't ring it again.  Last night - still day two - I put some kitchen scraps out for the other two dogs on the back deck and low and behold Caesar goes over and hits the bell wanting out to eat the scraps too.  Devin and I about died!  Seriously smart pup.

Caesar is Devin's 16th birthday present but I'm pretty sure we're all in love with him.  And he loves this furry blanket in the picture.  He buries his face in it and and just snuggles with it.  Such a cutie.  And did I mention how smart he is? haha
