I love to wake up after having a foggy night and see the trees all covered in white with the SUN SHINING. This has happened for the past couple of days and it is beautiful. If I could write like my neice I could explain the peaceful feelings that it brings. But I can't, so I won't. I'll just say how gorgeous it looks.

Dakoda's Basketball Season

Dakoda's season is in full swing. In fact, by the time I'm putting these pictures on my blog it is almost over. These pictures are from the Wayne Tournament in December. We have a few tournaments throughout the year (football, basketball and baseball) that are our little family traditions. We stay at the same hotels and the kids have a great time. It is nice to just get away and spend some time together as a family.

Happy Birthday to my BEST FRIEND

Dean had an amazing birthday this year. I can't believe he is 40 and still looking mighty FINE!! Me and the boys took Dean to Provo for his birthday. He got to spend all the time he wanted at Sportman's Warehouse. He bought new bow sights, an ice auger and an ice scoop thingy for ice fishing. After that, we went to Las Hermanos. I keep telling him that it is his favorite restaurant. He says it's mine. I can't argue... I love their food. The next day we cooked his favorites - sausage & biscuits and gravy and for dinner tons of lasagna and bread sticks. I think he was in heaven. Tonya made this awesome cake for his birthday. And we made homemade chocolate ice cream. All in all I think he faired pretty well!!!

Healthy Food

I've been trying to cook low fat and healthy. This recipe was soooo good. It was different than anything I have made before. Well, not the breadsticks, but the soup was delicious. I thought I would put it on here so I remember to make it again sometime.

Dylan is rockin it this year. I'm not bragging I swear. (Even if I am his mom) He is really good. He handles the ball really well. That might be because he never - and I mean never - puts it down. He dribbles constantly at my house. He only has two games left and I have to say our nights will be boring without basketball every night. Dylan heads into high school next year and he is so dang excited he can't hardly stand it. I think he will do very well. He just needs to grow.

Okay, so I'm completely spoiled rotten by my guys. I didn't cook one meal that day and I asked for a jewelry box. Now this is a jewelry box. I LOVE IT!!!!!

New Years Day

This has kind of turned into a tradition for New Years Day. The kids need something to do and Dean and I need to get out of the house. So off to the sagebrush to find a jack rabbit we go. This year was crazy. We didn't see one rabbit. These areas are usually lousy with rabbits. They still had a good time though. It wasn't too cold. I was really warm inside the truck. It's just too bad that I have to be the driver. So there I sit with my Diet Coke and a warm truck. Poor me.

Christmas Break

Oh the joys of Christmas break. They all got these little remote control helicopters. I am very thankful for 18' ceilings for them to fly around in. Dakoda got a coyote call. I'm loving the practicing. Dylan is just funnier than heck in his warm clothes. Gotta Love Em.

Lindsay's Christmas Lunch

Lunch at the Lindsay's is mandatory on Christmas Day. Of course, no one minds. The kids have a good time. Dean took his clay pigeon thrower and the boys took their shotguns. I didn't stay out very long to see their talent but they said they hit them all. The boys also had their sleighs and snowboards for the oil well. Dylan rode down every time on his snowboard without turfing it. I think he's getting better.
