Elder Dylan Lindsay is doing GREAT

I may be a smidgen partial but that is one great missionary!

It is so good to see his face and know that he is doing well.  And there is nothing in the world better than getting on my email to find that he is on at the same time.  A short chat with a son that is 5800 miles away is the best way to start out a week.  I know that I was born in this day and age because I'm weak.  I could in no way handle going weeks or months not knowing that he was okay. I miss him terribly but seeing these kinds of pictures makes it so much easier to handle.  Those kids will get to be with their families for eternity because of Dylan being gone for only 2 years.  Kind of a good trade off.  It would be incredibly selfish of me to not let my missionary change people's lives in such a profound way and spread the Word of Christ.

Goblin Valley Fun

Dakoda and MaKayla got to visit Goblin Valley again this year with the Sun Center for college.  They go down each year and help with the Goblin Valley Marathon.  These are amazing kids doing amazing things.  I'm so glad they get to enjoy life a little before growing completely up.

School Picture Time

Devin Lindsay
15 Years Old
Sophomore

I'm not really sure who told this boy it was okay to grow up but I'm not liking it.
He looks so grown up lately.  Gone are the days of his chubby cheeks. :(
Now he's this handsome young man that is full of fun.

2014 State XC

Nothing compares to watching your child do their best.  Even if they really don't like doing it.  Devin is not a fan of running but he still ran an amazing race today.  He gave it all he had and beat his Region time.  We couldn't be prouder.

Bluebell Corn Maze 2014

We had a great night at the Bluebell Corn Maze!  Devin kept us from getting lost so we could come out and enjoy our hot chocolate and kettle corn while we waited for the haunted maze to open.

I try hard every year to not scream in the haunted maze but by dang it always sneaks out of my mouth.  LOL

The goats loved these two.

A great end to a great day.

I have to say that the only way that this day could have been better is if Dylan and Shonia were there too.  I always feel like one of my extremities is missing with one of my kids missing.  He'll be back and then I'll be a full person again.

Dakoda and MaKayla on Channel 4 News

So, this is pretty cool!!!  Channel 4 News did a road trip to USU Eastern.  Dakoda and MaKayla were on there. :)  Pretty proud.  A little later in the segment they interviewed MaKayla because she is the president of the Sun Center Volunteer organization.  They have the largest college volunteer organization out of all the colleges and universities in the state.  That's according to the news so wow. So proud of these two.  What great kids!!!

Region Cross Country 2014

This year's Region Cross Country meet was held in Manila.  The weather was beautiful and so was the drive over.  Dean was not able to get work off so I trekked it alone.  And to his amazement, I survived. lol  I got there in time to cheer the girls on.

The boys warming up.  As good as it gets.

Shonia finishing with a great race.

Look at the fun he's having.  He just loves running. NOT

This kid from Manila came on a dead sprint.  I wasn't sure if Devin could hold him off.  I'm pretty sure he was one of Manila's seniors.  But Devin held on to the lead to the bitter end.

This is what zombies look like.

Calan and Devin

Shonia getting her medal.  Rocked it!!

Top ten girls. Altamont had Rasmussen 2nd, Shonia 4th and Sheree 8th.

And just when they thought they were done with pictures, Cody showed up to start the whole feascal over again.  Boys and pictures are never a good mix.  I know this from years of experience.

Coach Tracy and her boys team.  LOL  Nice to see Dylan passed his love of bright socks and shoes onto Cal and Cody.  They've carried on the tradition well this year.
