Devin's Baseball Season

This was Devin's first year playing off of a live pitch. He was still young enough to play down on the pitching machine, but he was bored last year. He was one of the youngest in the Minor Leagues and I am proud to say that he made the All-Star team!!! These pictures are from the All-Star tournament in Roosevelt. He had so much fun this year and learned a ton.

Dylan's Baseball Season

Dylan has had one awesome baseball season, and it isn't over yet. They are undefeated going into the State Playoffs. They head to Grantsville on July 30th to start the State Tournament. Dylan didn't strike out once in the local All-Star Tournament. I don't think he walked either. He plays catch, pitch, 3rd base or what ever position the coaches put him in. Dylan just loves sports!!!

The inside tour

This is the tour of the new house. I had to redo it to fix my oopsy. We are pretty much finished with the inside of the house. Some of the trim still needs painted, but we're a little burned out. That was a bad choice of words, sorry. This house is a lot different from the first. We didn't really want it the same... too many memories missing. The one picture that I don't have is of my office. Between working from home, my church positions (activities chairman, ward bulletin and ward website) and just our home stuff, my beautiful desk is a mess. So sorry about missing that picture. Other than that, everything is here. I hope you enjoy.

Family Room

We call this room the doghouse. If the boys have sleepovers they sleep in here. It was suppose to be closed in, but it looked to fun to play in.

My sewing/craft room has been overtaken already. Notice the weight bench and the mini pool table. This room is over the garage.

This is the boys tv room. It's not in the picture, but they have a 57" big screen all to themselves. I wish I would have had a big tv to play atari on. Not fair.

The view from the top of the stairs.

Dakoda's Room

Boy's bathroom - with three sinks. No complaining about
cleaning someone else's toothpaste off the sink. The toilet has its own room and so does the tub.

Devin's Bedroom - go spidey

Dylan's Bedroom - no he's not a broncos fan.

The outside - close enough to move in

We still have the entry gate that we built. Tony Casper got us these logs and we hauled the rocks from his Grandma's land by the Strawberry Pinnacles.

Getting close - Summer - 2007

After the sheetrock. Those people sheetrocked this house and textured it in 6 days. They didn't speak English but man they were good and fast. Let me know if you ever need a sheetrocker.

The cabinets go in. Yeah!!!! They are so beautiful. I love them still.

I did the siding on this side all by myself. Yes this is Yawna typing.

Building - Summer - 2007

Dylan was the rope man when we were putting up the trusses. He did such a good job the crane operator offered him a job. He said that Dylan did a better job that most of the men.
After the insullation
Putting up the trusses. That's one big crane!
Getting ready to shingle. It was sooooo hot. That's all I remember.
Ready to shingle. It was also steep!

Framing - Summer - 2007

Our new plans put the house in the same hole that it was in. So not a lot of digging. Bruce came up from Fallon, NV - bless his heart - and did our foundation. Brady and Kim came out and pretended to help. Ryan and Roper came over and one of Dean's friends stopped by for the big cement days.
The safe was bought before the plans. Did everyone know that if you have over a certain dollar amount (ours limit was $5K) of any one item (guns) they are not covered by insurance. They are considered a collection and need special insurance. Hopefully this safe works a little better than the walmart safe that was suppose to be fireproof. Social Security cards are not fun to try and get the second time. They assume your children are stolen.
Dakoda and Dylan hammered their little hearts out. These straps (25 in all) each had 42 nails in them. They hammered every one. I tried but I bent too many nails.

February 2007 Beginning

I just want everyone to see what we accomplished in 6 months. It is crazy what you can do if you're desperate. The boys that you can see helping are the Altamont Wrestlers. Allen had his trackhoe there and Caspers had their dumptrucks there to haul our past to the dump. boohoo.

Me and My Boys

These pictures are from our California Vacation in March 2008. Universal Studios ROCKED!! We had so much fun together. After living in a camp trailer for 6 months we needed a vacation and this one was great. Dean got a chance to relax after building a beautiful home for us. And I didn't have to cook one meal for a whole week. Our hotel made me an omelate and mocha every morning. I thought I was in heaven. The boys (all 4) were so well behaved. After going through a nightmare, I feel like I'm back in a dream. Things are going great. Dean has been at ElPaso Gas for about 2 years now and loves his job. He works about 5 minutes from the house at that big Gas Plant by Altamont and gets off of work at 3:30. He is helping his mom with the farm in his spare time which is limited with 3 boys wanting to play catch or go hunting and fishing. I've been at Roosevelt Vision Clinic for about 6 years now. I work 2 days (8-2) in the office and 1 day at home. Or basically whenever I feel like it. They really don't care as long as I come fix the computers when they break down. I love the life we have. It has been an adjustment with the kids growing up. A new stage of life with teenagers. But I am loving it. Dean is awesome and I still can't get enough of him. (That was not intended naughty, get your mind out of the gutter, lol).

I wish my friends were closer so they could teach me how to blog better (Sandi - that would be you). I have no idea what I'm doing. Hopely I figure it out.

Devin

Devin is the baby. He turned 9 in May. He is the cutest thing I've ever seen. He doesn't have a lot of teeth right now, but he is still cute. Devin is a mix of the other two. He's very aggressive but very laid back. He loves whatever he is doing. Okay not so much the chores but everything else.
