AHS plays at the Bee's Stadium and WiNs

The boys had fun playing in the Bee's Stadium in SL this week. Dakoda didn't get dirty so before they left he ran out and got grass stains on his pants to say that he got grass stains from the Bee's stadium. It wouldn't have been so bad had they not had a game the next day and guess who does that laundry at our house. Not him. It was so much fun though. My brother Kim, his wife Barb and their crazy son Brady came to watch the game. They were surprised by how good we were.

Pinewood Derby 2009

I think we figured that this was Dean's 9th Derby car to help build. One more and he'll have it whooped. They worked so hard on this car. It had the best paint job ever. Some of the boys thought it was made out of plastic since it was so shiny. Dean had helped Devin paint it with his taxidermy airbrush so it had an awesome color job. His car was super fast but not the winner. I don't think he cared. Dakoda brought last year's car to race and it was still fast.

Devin's Concert with Steven James

Devin's elementary had a concert the other night with Steven James. This guy could imitate any singer thrown at him. He also did a bunch of songs with the kids that were motivational. Devin's class did a song called "Take a Stand." Very cute!!! They danced and sang and had a good time. Here is a link to his songs if you would like to hear them... http://www.somethinggoodinc.com/

Dylan and Devin - LoVinG BroThErs - NOT

Friends for a minute. And then Dylan rolled up in the blanket. Not the best idea. Dylan's hands were tied up and he didn't stand a chance.

He finally gets to take the mound

Dakoda finally got his turn on the mound this week to show them what kind of a pitcher he is. And he did an awesome job. South Summit ended up winning by one but Dakoda pitched great for 5 innings and only walked one player.

Still At It

Yes, we are still at it. These pictures are from the game down in Nephi against Juab High School. It snowed during the Varsity game and then JV was so cold that I was afraid the pictures were going to be fuzzy since I was shivering. They turned out okay. The boys are having a good season since they have to play 2A in Spring Baseball. It's too bad they don't play Fall, I think they would be champions against 1A schools. But Football in the Fall is way too important!!!

Just FYI

If you get the sack of seeds wet, they will sprout. I had started all of my seeds and set these aside in the edge of the seed starter box and evidently they got wet. Every (and I mean every) seed sprouted in this sack. Quicker than the ones in the dirt if you can imagine. I found them some dirt to live in and they are growing very nicely in their new home.

A Word About the Cuppy Cake Song

I'm sorry that I am making you all listen to the cuppy cake song but I love it. It is my doorbell right now and I have to ring it every once in a while to give myself a smile. You can not smile when it is playing. By the way, it is on youtube with the original little 3 year old girl singing it if you want to see something cute. Search for cuppy cake song. Don't forget to smile!!! :)

Progress on our front deck

Skinny green stick.
I love the massiveness that it makes the posts have. We have been trying figure out how to wrap these green treated 6X6 posts so that they look bulkier and prettier. Dean finally decided to just wrap them with 2X10's. I have to say that I love it. Definately better than the green. Once it is done I can cutify my deck up. Yes that is a word - cutify. I love having such a talented husband. He is wonderful.

Annual Easter Picnic

He just shot his eggs. Here goes the eggs. How many hotdogs can this boy eat? They shot their eggs instead of rolling. The big pistol packers. My pistol packer. The kids built their own trail for rolling easter eggs. The Lindsay gangEvery year the Lindsays go on a big Easter picnic. It is pretty much mandatory unless you've just given birth. I mean just given birth... not a few weeks ago. LOL It was smaller this year but still just as fun. The men had their pistols and my boys had their 22s. They shot their eggs. Did you know they explode when you hit them? They do. It wasn't too cold and by the end the wind had stopped.

Easter Morning

That dang Easter Bunny left so many clues this year. It took the boys a half hour to find their baskets. Devin had to wake up those big brothers because they were sticks in the muds. Once he got them up and going they got into it a little more.

Coloring Eggs 2009

Me and my Dakoda
My sweetheart.

The Devin Monster.

The goobers (Dakoda and Dylan)
The mess.
The boys weren't the most excited about coloring eggs. They think they are getting too old. Not. I say so. They didn't make too big of a mess and they actually cleaned it up when they were done. You've got to love them getting older.

This was Devin's poem for the poem contest in Altamont this year. He made the finals at the school and had to perform his poem at the Poetry Outloud Program. He did a wonderful job. I messed up the camera and did not get the first of the poem but I got enough that you get the jift. And I'm sure it is not meant for his loving brothers that never pick on him. LOL
