After four long hard years my dad, my friend, died of Mantle Cell Lymphoma cancer. He fought so hard, living 2 years longer than expected. He went through chemo treatment after chemo treatment just to be taken over again and again by the cancer. I will never forget what a spunky man he was. He lived for the moment. Not always making the best decisions, but he lived life to the fullest. I spent every second I could with him while he was sick. I'm so thankful that his final weeks were in Roosevelt where I could spend every day with him. He knows exactly how I feel and I have no regrets about time wasted. I've always known that cancer has many faces, I just can't believe that one of them is my dads. I will love him through all eternity because he makes me laugh and gives the best bear hugs on earth. He bites my ear when he kisses my cheeks. And he always told me how proud he was of me. Except I wasn't very girly. But seriously, who can be girly with 5 brothers?Goodbye Daddy.
I Love You
