Motor Boating

Since Dean and I are not water people, we decided to start off our boating with a small 16 ft fishing boat.  I'm pretty sure we feel in love with being on the lake instantly.  It was so relaxing and the fishing was incredible.  Dylan just wanted to drive us around.  The rest of us just wanted to relax and fish so it was a fair trade off.

Where did the last two years go

I just looked at our blog and was shocked that it had been two full years and then some since my last post.  I am working at home now so maybe I can keep up a little better with everything including laundry although I'm not holding my breath for that one.

Update on my awesome, amazing boys.  Dakoda is 19 and has started his sophomore year at USU-Eastern (formerly CEU) in Price, Utah.  He is so sticking smart at math and computers he is starting to blow my mind.  He is majoring in Electrical Engineering and his grades are great.  He spends most weekends there doing fun college stuff.  Luckily he is smart enough to stay away from the drinking and crap that goes on at college.   He bought himself a Dodge Dakota truck this summer with the money he had saved.  Last week he bought a four-wheeler with some of his hard earned money too.  I hope his scholarship gets renewed or he might have to actually spend his money on school.  :-)  I'm so proud of him and the man that he is becoming.  I was so worried last year when he left.  He has always been kind of shy but that kid has never come back.  The man that came home from college is outgoing and hilarious.  He has spread his wings far and wide and is enjoying his freedom and fun.

Dylan.  Oh my busy Dylan.  Where to start?  He is 16 and a Junior at Altamont High School.   Last year his sports included Cross Country, Basketball, and Track.  This year we also threw Football into that mix.  We don't see much of Dylan obviously.  Only on the track, field and court.  Last year he placed 6th at Cross Country in the state.  This year he moved up to 5th.  The kid can run forever!!!  He ran Ragnar last year with NO training.  He has placed at State Track for the last two years.  This year he was 3rd in the 3200m but his time was 30 seconds faster than the year before when he took 1st.  I'm also happy to say his grades are high enough for high honor roll.  3.865 to be exact. (I think anyway).  His daily schedule is leave the house around 6:30 am to lift weights, 7:00 am Shoot around in the gym.  Showers at school.  After school - Cross Country Practice.  6:00 Football Practice and then Open Gym.  He gets home around 9 pm and eats dinner and starts homework.  I know he's up until 12 most nights doing homework.  I personally do not know how he does it all.  But he does and never complains and always gives a full 100%.

Devin.  The baby is 13 now.  I told him he would always be my baby.  He is almost as tall as me and is definately a smarty pants.  He loves math and science.  He doesn't even mind English, but he must be my child because he really has no interest in History.  He gets a good grade but he doesn't enjoy it.  He is busy with football and basketball.  When people ask him if he is going to run like Dylan and cracks up and says "Do I look like a runner?"  LOL  Makes me laugh every time.  He has always been on high honor roll.  I just kind of expect it from him.  I don't have to nag or preach or anything with him.  He just does it.  Once in a while we can't figure something out in Algebra but we just take a picture and text Dakoda for help.  Works every time.

Dean is still working for Kinder Morgan (formerly ElPaso).  He has had a stressful summer converting the gas plant over to electronics instead of pneumatics.  The major part of his conversion is over and it's nice to have him home.  Ok not home.  The muzzleloader elk hunt started today so we won't see much of him for the next week and a half.  No worries.  He deserves a break.  I personally would like one too but oh well.  Dean is one of a kind.  I still to this day have never met such a sweet, smart man.  Love him to death.

I just work for Roosevelt Vision Clinic at home, do housework and laundry, travel to the games and meets, cook and help with homework.  In my spare time... (wait I don't have any).

My dear Grandma Rella LeFevre passed away last February.  It happened to be Feb. 9th which at our house is not a good day.  (Fire related issues).   Just another reason to not enjoy the day I guess.  BUT  not what I'm talking about...  Somehow out of pure luck and miracle I ended up with my Grandma's most prized posession.  Her beautiful piano.  Let me tell you,  I have spent hours sitting at the piano.  And when I do,  she is there.  I miss her terribly.  What a girl.

Anyways...  I need to empty the dryer so I've got to quit blogging.  I will get some pictures on here of my amazing little family that has grown up on me.  Did I mention no one here wants to dress up for Halloween.  I'm so sad.  I bought costumes and everything.  But Nope they are too old.  GRRRR
