New Addition

I'm pretty sure this is one of the most spoiled dogs around.  Spoiled but such a smarty.  Two days ago we decided to start the training for ringing a bell when he needs to go outside.  I watched a few youtube videos on training them for this and thought we should give it a try.  We hung our bells on the front and back doors and started ringing them each time we took her our.  Day two (seriously the second day)  I was in the bedroom and I here the bell ring and then a couple of tiny barks.  I'm thinking NO WAY.  I walk in and there he sits at the front door wanting out.  Totally blew my mind.  The rest of the day I was thinking did that really happen.  We were outside most of the afternoon so he didn't ring it again.  Last night - still day two - I put some kitchen scraps out for the other two dogs on the back deck and low and behold Caesar goes over and hits the bell wanting out to eat the scraps too.  Devin and I about died!  Seriously smart pup.

Caesar is Devin's 16th birthday present but I'm pretty sure we're all in love with him.  And he loves this furry blanket in the picture.  He buries his face in it and and just snuggles with it.  Such a cutie.  And did I mention how smart he is? haha

Track Begins

And so it begins…   Another track season has begun.  So far we have had two practice meets.  One at Union and one at Uintah.  Devin is running the 800 m and the 800 m in the Medley Relay.  He is also throwing the Jav.  I would have to say we are mighty proud parents of this kid.  Not only does a sport year round he is also on high honor roll which makes me even prouder.   

Birthday Boy

This boy makes me smile.  Okay, not so much a boy anymore.  He is now 22 years old.  Dang Not a boy at all.  He finally came home for a visit with me promising him cake. Food works every time.  Okay, not so much any more but it still helps.  We were lucky enough that he brought MaKayla home with him to celebrate his birthday.  I'm sure she shakes her head at our redneck ways but we love her.  Any one that can put up with us like she does is a keeper.  

Love that he still humors me and blows out candles. :)

And what a sport to cut his hair.  lol  It looked awesome when she got done too.
