Easter Picnic

Me and my hubby. LUV that man.No McKenzie, you are not taller than your mom.
We started letting them shoot their eggs a few years ago. They had outgrown the rolling part and were just throwing them at us.

Easter Time

Granted, my kids think they are WAY TO OLD to color eggs. I beg to differ. I made them ALL color eggs. They won't admit it. But they had fun.

Scout Cake

These pictures are from back in February. I should download them off my camera more often but time is not on my side lately. Dean said that I couldn't put the pictures of him making this cake on because it's bad for his man image. Trust me, his man image is fine. I told him not to be worried about baking a cake. It's the men that blog stalk that should be worried about their man image. lol Devin and Dean worked so hard on this cake for scouts. I personally laughed so hard. I tried to give them EASY ideas on what to do but they had their mind set on this design. I just set back and watched them work. It really turned out pretty darn good. I have to admit I was impressed.

Best Book in a Long TIME

WOW I just finished reading this wonderful book. It was very thought provoking and made me think just how lucky and blessed my life really is. You should never judge people until you have walked in their shoes. Something for me to really work on. It also made me realize the BIG importance of my food storage. If you ever read this book you will understand what I'm talking about. I bought it, so if anyone wants to borrow you are MORE than welcome.

New Baby Ruby

I'm so excited to meet my new baby Ruby. My niece Amber just gave birth to an adorable baby girl named Ruby (I love the name too). I have two more nieces that are expecting pretty soon. SO EXCITED!!!!! I can't wait to hold these precious little bundles of joy.

Spring Sing at the Elementary

There were so many kids. I was kind of shocked. I knew the elementary was big, but they filled pretty much all of the bleachers on one side of the gym. Devin told me to be there early and where to sit so that I could get the pictures. He knows I need to fill my mommy quota. I took a lot of pictures and some video. It was a great performance. I'm sure it took a LOT of time to teach all of the the kids all of the songs. I hope they didn't miss out on important education for it, but oh well, they did a great job.

Our First Year of Track

So I kind of think this is the real reason Dakoda decided to do track. JK Dakoda is running the 1 mile and the 2 miles. I don't really know about track. I use to run the 400 but that was a few years ago. I'm keeping track of his times and hopefully he will improve over the years. I was kind of shocked when he was running. At the very first track meet he ran the 1 mile in 5:46 and the 2 mile in 12:40. I will keep you all posted on his times.

Devin's Jr. Jazz

So it is official. Basketball never ends at the Lindsay house. Devin is doing Jr. Jazz. He ROCKS. It is so fun to watch him. He has been playing with Dylan for years and I'm not sure that the other kids know what to think when he strips the ball and takes off with it. He has learned from the best. We now have a hoop in the garage so that they can play year round. I do have to say that it has been the best investment we have made. They were dribbling in my house 24/7. At least I know where they are even when I can't hear them.
