Kinda weird now that we only have one son at home. There is time for us! I know, I know we are still heading to a ballgame to watch Devin play ball but it's just the two of us. :) We were ahead of schedule for the game (miracle that I finished at Walmart so fast) so I convinced Dean to stop and take a selfie with me. Yeah there was some begging but he gave in finally. We kind of suck at taking them but it was a good try.
Then on down the road we came to Wilson's Arch. It isn't too far off the road so I thought my grinding knee could handle it. I managed it just fine. And I didn't fall one time. Dean may have had to push and pull but that is beyond the point. Right?
I thought a picture under the arch would work as proof that I did hike clear to the arch. These formations always amaze me. The process of them forming is mind blowing to me.
That is our SUV down as the bottom. Oh and hiking up we passed another couple with a young son. Lo and behold he has a Roosevelt Jr. High hoodie on. All this way to meet people that live in the Basin. Their son was balling it up at a tournament in Moab. We all laughed at what lengths we go to as parents.
The backside of the arch isn't passable. It is pretty straight off rock. Slippery rock to boot.
He loves me and my phone I'm sure, but dang.
I can't ever figure out how these trees grow in nothing but rock when I baby them in my yard just to have them die.
All in all we had a wonderful trip. We returned home at about 1:30 in the morning and were exhausted but it is so worth it. I just don't want to miss a game or anything really that my boys are involved in. It is weird to some, I know, that we miss nothing but that's just it we want to savor every moment we can with these boys. Because honestly, you are NOT ALLOWED to go with them to college or on missions. ;)
