Dev's year in Baseball

So we're getting near the end of baseball. That means that summer is sailing by. The season games are over and all that is left is All-Stars. Devin made the All-Star team and is very proud. Of course his daddy is a little proud too. Dean was Devin's coach this year and I was the score keeper when Dylan didn't have a game. All-Stars are next week in Vernal. I hope it's not too hot at 5:30.

Relax??? Right!!!!

The day after Dad's funeral we decide to go for a ride in the mountains. To do nothing. No thinking. No crying. Just relax. I was exhausted!! We rode to the top of Petty Mountain. There are a cluster of rocks that you drive up to and from there you can see forever. And the forever is beautiful to see. You can't deny the Creator in places like this. We get out of the truck and Dev decides to run and high jump a rock. He doesn't clear the rock. And head wounds BLEED bad. So here is what he ended up with after I held his head for an hour to get back off the mountain and to the hospital. It doesn't look so bad with the stitches but it was bad. They dug a rock about the size of my pinky fingernail that had lodged into his skull out. That's when I had to sit down. But the silly kid never cried once. Seriously not once. Dylan made fun of his fall. I guess it wasn't too graceful. Sadly I missed it.

Heart Breaking Day

Me and my brothers. Bruce, me, Kim, Ryan. (missing Brent) My family My husband and rock. Me and my nephew Brady. Awesome kid. Kind of a big Dylan. Angels in training. On June 15th I thought my heart was breaking. And then when they closed the casket for the last time and I had to forever say goodbye to my dad I swear it cracked. Dean was my rock and my hero. Devin gave me hugs every time I cried and asked if that felt better. It did. Hugs heal. I think I'm doing better and then it hits over again and I find the boys in my life for a hug. They heal.
I have never felt such love for my brothers as I do know. They all are rocks and I love them. Thanks to everyone for their love and kindness. I love you all.

Dylan is done with Baseball

Dylan's team had a wonderful year. It was there first year of pony league and I was a little worried about them. They were very young. Only one boy had played pony league before. All in all I think they lost one game and that is when our whole team pretty much was gone to wrestling camp and we had to recruit younger kids to come play. And then they only lost by one. So really that one doesn't count in my opinion. They had an awesome year and they are so fun to watch.
Way to Go Dillweed!!

The Dams are Spilling

Rock Creek Dam spilling Moon Lake dam when it is tripped
It looks like lace.
We love to go for rides in the jeep. All we need is redvines licorice (It has black for me and red for everyone else.) and a drink. We went up to the dams here lately to see them spilling. Rock Creek is absolutely beautiful. Of course my family has to walk along the cement barrier. Luckily we've never fallen in. Moon Lake has not been full enough in quite a few years to trip and spill. That is nice to see for a change.

Reynolds Family Reunion 2009

We have had the Reynold's family reunion for this year. Allen was the highlight of the day. He and his daughter Shelly flew over the park and dropped candy for the kids to pick up. The kids had a blast. Thanks Allen. There was lots of good food and we always love to see everyone.

My Daddy

After four long hard years my dad, my friend, died of Mantle Cell Lymphoma cancer. He fought so hard, living 2 years longer than expected. He went through chemo treatment after chemo treatment just to be taken over again and again by the cancer. I will never forget what a spunky man he was. He lived for the moment. Not always making the best decisions, but he lived life to the fullest. I spent every second I could with him while he was sick. I'm so thankful that his final weeks were in Roosevelt where I could spend every day with him. He knows exactly how I feel and I have no regrets about time wasted. I've always known that cancer has many faces, I just can't believe that one of them is my dads. I will love him through all eternity because he makes me laugh and gives the best bear hugs on earth. He bites my ear when he kisses my cheeks. And he always told me how proud he was of me. Except I wasn't very girly. But seriously, who can be girly with 5 brothers?

Goodbye Daddy.
I Love You
