Dev's year in Baseball
Relax??? Right!!!!
The day after Dad's funeral we decide to go for a ride in the mountains. To do nothing. No thinking. No crying. Just relax. I was exhausted!! We rode to the top of Petty Mountain. There are a cluster of rocks that you drive up to and from there you can see forever. And the forever is beautiful to see. You can't deny the Creator in places like this. We get out of the truck and Dev decides to run and high jump a rock. He doesn't clear the rock. And head wounds BLEED bad. So here is what he ended up with after I held his head for an hour to get back off the mountain and to the hospital. It doesn't look so bad with the stitches but it was bad. They dug a rock about the size of my pinky fingernail that had lodged into his skull out. That's when I had to sit down. But the silly kid never cried once. Seriously not once. Dylan made fun of his fall. I guess it wasn't too graceful. Sadly I missed it.
Heart Breaking Day
I have never felt such love for my brothers as I do know. They all are rocks and I love them. Thanks to everyone for their love and kindness. I love you all.
Dylan is done with Baseball
Way to Go Dillweed!!
The Dams are Spilling
Rock Creek Dam spilling
Moon Lake dam when it is tripped
It looks like lace.
We love to go for rides in the jeep. All we need is redvines licorice (It has black for me and red for everyone else.) and a drink. We went up to the dams here lately to see them spilling. Rock Creek is absolutely beautiful. Of course my family has to walk along the cement barrier. Luckily we've never fallen in. Moon Lake has not been full enough in quite a few years to trip and spill. That is nice to see for a change.
