Yellowstone - The Long Drive

I had to be fast on the draw for this picture. We were in Idaho somewhere when I seen Lindsay Blvd. It was even spelled right. Who'd a thunk it.
We spent way too much time at the gas pump.Dakoda had to have his picture taken with the Coca-Cola bottle since I call him Coke half the time. Cutie Patuties that hate their picture taken. Seriously they were dying of embarrassment. Idaho landscape. It was very beautiful. It really looked like home. Except for the ginormous potatoe and wheat fields.

July 24th Parade

There's nothing quite like a small town parade. This is the first year for a while that we've had kids with us. They are usually in the parade. Devin was on the All-Star float this year but Dakoda and Dylan were there to get the candy. Thank goodness, so I didn't look funny racing kids for the candy.

July 24th 5K Race

The big warm up. Look at them stretch.Dakoda's time was 21:56. He took 7th in the men's division.
Dylan's time was 21:30. He took 6th in the men's division. This is the best roll model. Merralee was the first place walker and quite the inspiration to me.

Bow Shoot

My very own bow hunter. He did such an awesome job. I personally don't know how he hits anything with it. But he hits everything with it.
This deer was on a zip line and if you hit it, you got extra raffle tickets. Believe it or not Dean hit it in the chest.

Target #1.

Getting his stuff ready. He was a good guesser. They couldn't use the range finders and a lot of the targets were unmarked. You had to actually just guess how far it was. Since he really didn't miss any, I think he was a pretty good guess. This was so much fun for me and the kids too. We followed Dean around while he shot and then we drove on up the Chepita lake and caught a few fish. All in all we had a really nice relaxing day.

Rain, rain, go away. JK Stay

These are pictures of just one rain storm. We are getting them about each week. I love it!!! My grass has never been so green and lush. And my water bill has never been so low in the middle of summer. Keep it coming.

Baseball is Officially Over at the Lindsay's

Devin finished off his All-Star Tournament in Vernal last week. Dakoda and Dylan both had scout camp all week, so it was up to me to be loud. As hard as it was for me, I cheered my heart out. These younger mothers need to learn to make some noise. I was a good teacher. LOL Devin did an outstanding job. He played short stop and pitched. He is throwing really well for 10 years old. I hope he continues to progress. Dean was one of the coaches and had to suit up-pants and all. I loved those little pants. I hope we don't have to give them back. Haha. He's hoping he nevers sees them again.

Keep your eyes on the ball. Tuck your chin. Give it a ride.
The big wind up and stretch. Devin and the stare down. Devin at short stop

The teams for the Star Spangled Banner. There's nothing quite like hearing "Play Ball" Devin is #15 and Dean is the third man from the left. Now what to do with our summer.

Lilly Lake Hike

The big hike. It took 1 hour to hike in. That is with me dragging and whining the whole way. I tried not to. But I did have to stop and breath once in a while. I was pretty sure that you could see my heart beating on the outside of my chest too. Dylan coaxed me into not stopping on the way down. He had faith in me. Dakoda is a fisherman. Dean and Dakoda each caught two fish. Dylan and I each caught 1. Devin's bubble was too big it was scaring the fish away.
Yes that is a squirrel eating out of Devin's hand. They were so tame. They would not leave our backpacks alone.
Lilly Lake is beautiful.
Dakoda caught this squirrel in a plastic bag. They are soft little critters. We let it go and you would think it would be scared, but it still came back for more Ritz.
Devin is a good sport.
Our friend... Chip or Dale?
Giant ant bed. It was HUGE.
