Prom finally is here

Dakoda and his beautiful date. His Possey. They are a great bunch of kids.Dakoda finally got to go to the prom. They had a great day date on Friday. And then Saturday was the Prom. I'm pretty sure he was so excited. I got a lot of work out of him that day. He had so much fun with Dezarai. They are just good kids and it is good to see them not worried about stuff that doesn't matter. I didn't know I had to dance with my Junior at the prom but oh well. It is so crazy thinking that my baby is now a Junior and soon to be a Senior. He is growing up to be a fine young man and he makes me very proud.

My Wonderful Grandma LeFevre

In so many ways I am like my Grandma. She was spunky and did things her way. She didn't like to be told what to do. She worked hard. She was the only grandma I ever knew and I will miss her more than words can say. I'm honored that I was asked to be a part of her funeral. She was the BEST!!! I'm so thankful that she is at peace in Heaven and not suffering here. I hope she is up there giving my dad crap. Why do people have to die??? It makes life here kind of lonely sometimes.

Dakoda's Season Continues

Devin lives for Macho Nachos and hot dogs at basketball games. I'm so thankful to live in a town and community where the kids are free to play in the hall (as long as they behave) and we don't have to worry about them getting stolen. What a wonderful, sheltered world I live in.
Devin's 5th Grade class sang the National Anthem at the basketball game this weekend. I was so very impressed with all of them. There were no goofy acting children. They all took the job very seriously and they sounded wonderful. All of the grades should take a turn, if you ask my opinion. Which people seldom do. But I am full of them, just waiting to share.
And so it goes... We have about three weeks left to watch Dakoda play ball. His JV team is doing extremely well this year. They have only lost a handfull of games all year. This group of boys put their entire hearts into the game. It is so refreshing to see a team with so much desire. LOVE IT!!!

The End for Dylan

I have absolutely LOVED watching Dylan and his 8th grade team play this year. They are awesome. Dylan's team has been playing together since 4th grade with Mona as their coach. Thanks Mona. They have put in countless hours practicing and building their skills. The whole teamwork thing with basketball makes them such a force to be reckoned with. I know they will rock next year in high school.

And the answer is....

This weekend was the Region Wrestling meet in Altamont. Dakoda was there and so was his Nissan truck. At least the truck started out there. Dezarai and her crew pushed and towed the Nissan over onto main street. From there it was all down hill. She had 5 giant black garbage bags filled with popcord to fill up the cab of the Nissan. Inside the loose popcorn were popcorn balls that had messages inside of them. Dakoda was suppose to go through the popcorn and find the right popcorn ball with the answer he has been waiting for inside. He searched and searched but never found his answer. He was kind of bummed from not finding the answer, but when he got home there was a great big bottle of M&Ms in with the answer he was hoping for.

YES!!!!
Now he has an official date to the prom.

Dakoda ASKing his Prom Date

Dakoda finally came up with an idea to ask out his sweetheart to the prom. He enlisted the help of his Uncle Brad. We set it up with her parents to make her drive an unregistered truck alone with only a learners permit. Brad pulled her over with Dakoda hiding in the back seat. Brad was telling her how she could not get her license for another year and it was breaking her poor little heart. No she was devistated is more like it. The movie is priceless but it gives way to much of her personal information over the radio. Dakoda popped up to save her in the end and asked her to the prom. It worked out perfect. I only hope she forgives him and says "yes". I'm pretty sure they will remember it for a long time.

I Love this Look

The view from my living room windows.
My bedroom window view.
I love to wake up after having a foggy night and see the trees all covered in white with the SUN SHINING. This has happened for the past couple of days and it is beautiful. If I could write like my neice I could explain the peaceful feelings that it brings. But I can't, so I won't. I'll just say how gorgeous it looks.
